Central Russia, Volga River, a small industrial town, that’s the place where Alexandre was born and raised. His interest in the miniature Format visible in his matchbook drawings began at an early age. Fascinated by the intimate quality of hidden places, he secretly drew small portraits of childhood heroes on the backsides of house hold radios, family cupboards, and balcony handrails. This obscure form of quiet graffiti was to become a lifelong obsession.  Relocating to the United States in 1992, he found himself in a smoke-filled Manhattan bistro drawing on a matchbook. Since that time, he created a collection of sketches on matchbooks. Those little gems landed in the hands of people from all walks of life, including many celebrities, and are now available to you for your observation!
